聪明人
和英语Clever 不同，中文里，“聪明人”似乎稍带一点贬义，这大概是来自“聪明反被聪明误”这句老话。也许这和中国人更欣赏谦虚，谨慎的传统有关。古时候诸葛亮是聪明人，可他含而不露，和张扬跋扈的周瑜不同。而曹操不喜欢他手下的聪明谋臣，居然找个借口把他给杀了。
上帝造人，同样的东西，出来的个体却会千差百异，各不相同。人的基本结构是同样的细胞组织，构成的人确截然不同，除了外貌，人的智力水平也有明显的差异。基因的不同是这些差别的基础，但也有人认为这种差别是由于人脑细胞利用率的不同所造成的。
昨天，在电视上又看了前两年拍的一部电影，Lucy (露西）。其主要情节是依据一种假说，即一般人脑细胞的利用率只有不到百分之十。若是通过某种手段使人的大脑利用率增加，会有意想不到的效果。剧中主人公用特殊的手段使自己的大脑细胞功能增加，不仅变聪明了，还有了特异功能。 可最后聪明过头，完全就不像人了。这当然是科幻，但的确，现实中，人和人不同。有神童，有圣人，还有像爱迪生，艾因斯坦；聂卫平这样绝顶聪明的人，而大多数都是普通人。但普通人中，也有差别。究其缘由，或许人和人的不同之处就在于大脑的利用率。可问题是，还不知道怎么才能增加脑细胞的利用率。若真能找到办法，大家就都聪明了。
客观上，人的智力，体力都会有差别，这也是目前无法改变的事实。可并不看好那些自以为是的聪明人。上学时，同学中不乏聪明人，可几十年过来，很多这样的人并未成大器。大学一同学，总是自诩聪明，可一生流浪，百无一是。而相反，许多当年默默无声的同学却早已是功成名就。
当年在美国麻省总医院学习时，同事中有位印裔医生，每次开会时总是自己或借用别人的话，吹嘘自己多么聪明。那是美国， 是鼓励自负，滋润野心的地方，可几十年过去，他在业界仍是默默无闻。
一生阅人无数，各类人都遇到过。聪明不一定是智商高，也不一定是反应快。聪明人应该是会为人处事，或博闻强记，或具非凡创造力。聪明是学不来的，所以也不用羡慕，勤奋或许能弥补一些。
其实，真正聪明的人是不张扬的，所谓大智若愚也。
